About

blackramen.tools is a small collection of small tools for the moments that are harder than they look: starting a task, choosing between options, remembering when you last did a thing, coming back after time away.

They're built with neurodivergent brains in mind, ADHD, autistic, AuDHD, anxious, burnt out, or just plain overwhelmed. But there's no gate. If a tool helps you, it's for you.

What we believe

Care tasks are morally neutral. You don't earn rest by finishing. Nothing here will ever call you behind, show you a red badge, break your streak, or ask you to catch up. The tools remember so you don't have to, and they never judge what they remember.

The tools

Last Time keeps gentle elapsed clocks for recurring things: sheets, plants, oil changes, phone calls. You tap when you've just done one. If you told it a rhythm that feels right, a soft amber says "it's been a while." That's the loudest it ever gets.

Already Decided is a vault for decisions you've genuinely settled, with the reason attached. When your brain reopens the case at 11pm, you come read the verdict instead of re-arguing it.

In Other Words takes what you typed, however it came out, and hands it back in the tone the situation needs. The part that makes it ours: you can save your own tones ("landlord mode", "school email mode") and teach it your actual writing voice from a few samples, so the polished version still sounds like you and not like a press release.

Start Me hands you exactly three steps to begin a task you can't start. The first takes under two minutes and requires zero decisions, because starting is the hard part and deciding is what blocks it. Doing only that first step still counts.

Pick For Me gives you one next thing when choosing is the hard part. Not a ranked list, not pros and cons. One. Tell it you're running on fumes and it picks the lightest thing on your list. With no AI at all it picks fairly at random, which is still a decision, made and done.

Soft Landing builds you a re-entry ramp for anything you've been away from: a project, a hobby, an inbox, a person. It never opens with everything you missed. It opens with permission, one tiny first touch, and a list of things officially allowed to wait.

How the tools work

Most tools here run entirely in your browser. There is no server doing the thinking, which is also why your data never leaves your device.

In Other Words, Start Me, Pick For Me, and Soft Landing use AI to do their jobs, the same way goblin.tools does: when you press the button, what's in the box is sent off to be answered and nothing is stored afterward. Your saved tones, voice samples, lists, and recent starts still live in your browser only. And know this up front: what an AI suggests is an educated guess, not an authority. If Start Me hands you a first step that feels wrong for your brain, your brain is right and the tool is wrong. Take what helps, ignore what doesn't, and never let a tool talk you out of what you know about yourself.

Free means free

The tools on this site are free, with no ads and no accounts, and that's permanent. Plain browser tools cost almost nothing to serve, so there's no catch hiding anywhere.

The AI-powered tools cost real money to run. If that ever needs support, it will come as an optional tip jar or a supporter tier for expensive extras, never by moving something that's free today behind a paywall. If this site ever helps you and you want to give something back before then, send it to one person whose brain needs it. That's the currency we're after.

Your data stays yours

Everything you type lives in your own browser (localStorage), on your own device. There is no database, no analytics, no tracking, and no way for us to see your stuff even if we wanted to. That also means: if you clear your browser data, your stuff goes with it, so each tool has an export button. Use it once in a while. The full plain-language version lives on the privacy page.

Kindred spirits

This site is openly inspired by goblin.tools, a collection of small, free, judgment-free tools that proved this shape of software matters to a lot of people. Their tools help you do the task: break it down, soften the email, estimate the time. Ours help you get to it: starting, choosing, remembering, returning. They cover the doing, we cover the approaching. Use both.

Who's behind this

blackramen.tools is made by Bianca East through Black Ramen Studio, a small creative practice that refuses to stay in one lane. Every tool here started as something built for one real brain that needed it, and got polished only after it earned its keep in daily life. You can find more of her work at biancaeast.com.

Suggest a tool

The best tool ideas come from a specific hard moment, not a feature list. If there's a moment your brain keeps snagging on that a small kind tool could help with, reach out through the studio. No promises on timing, but everything gets read.

The fine print, kept short

These tools are helpers, not professionals. Nothing here is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and no tool output should overrule your own judgment or your clinician's. The site is offered as-is, with love and without warranty. We're not affiliated with goblin.tools, just fans building alongside them.
